Australia’s Ashleigh Barty overcame a spirited second set display from Danielle Collins to win the 2022 Australian Open.

The top seed won 6-3 7-6(7-2) after coming back from 5-1 down in the second set in front of a partisan 12,000 strong crowd.

The victory gives the world number one her third Grand Slam singles title following her triumphs at the French Open and Wimbledon in 2021.
